You're off to great places...

This project was very special to me. I was able to work with client, and together create something we knew Ashlee would love.

Ashlee graduated from high school in California and will soon be in Arizona for college. Her aunt wanted to gift her something very special, something she would cherish for a long time. The shadowbox was a way to keep the moments of her proudest moments up until that point, in a place she could always look at, while preserving them. We decided to include in the frame, her high school announcement, graduation invitation, tassel a charm and to move it forward, an emblem to the college she chose to go.

The wooden guest book was for her party. Her family wanted to her friends and relatives to write down their hopes and wishes for her, to always look back on and cherish. "You're off to great places" is part of a poem by Dr. Seuss, and it fit perfectly with the hopes those around her have. I had a little bit of creative freedom with this wooden board. The only request was that it was white washed. I decided to include a cap and tassel, hand painted and designed. I personalized it with her name and graduating class, and added some borders to add a little bit of dimension and symmetry.

I love these meaningful gifts. It adds a whole different dimension of gifting and I am so happy to have been a part of it. Congrats Ashlee, wishing you the brightest of futures!
